The Psychonomic Society will have a new Digital Content Editor from 1 January 2020 onward. But that’s not the only change of the team: There have been two resignations, and one new appointment to the position of Digital Associate Editor.
I am sad to say good-bye to Steve Weisberg and Anja Jambrozik. And I am very pleased to welcome Lisa Fazio to the team, effective 1 October.
Steve Weisberg joined the team in October 2015 from the 26th Floor. Since then he’s produced 26 posts, all of which were a pleasure to read and touched on issues from the meaning of life, the universe, and everything to the embedding of fractals in modern movies.
Anja Jamrozik joined the team in August 2016. Her 23 posts since then include a set of 10 posts that formed a digital event on Life Beyond Academia and addressed the question of what career paths are open to experimental psychologists that do not involve an academic position. I asked Anja for her reflections on her work as Digital Associate Editor. Here is her reply:
“Research findings cannot be applied if they are not understood. Psychonomics Society Featured Content is unique in communicating research to a wide audience and I am excited to see this initiative grow. Thank you for the opportunity to write about interesting findings and their application.”

Welcome to Lisa Fazio
It gives me great pleasure to welcome Lisa Fazio to the team. Lisa has already written for the Featured Content section: She was a contributor to the #AS50 digital event in May this year that celebrated the 50th anniversary of the publication of Atkinson and Shiffrin’s seminal paper on memory in 1968. Lisa has also previously written for The Conversation (one of her articles has even appeared in Spanish). I very much look forward to Lisa building on that prior experience once she joins the team.
I asked Lisa for her thoughts about joining the team, and she replied:
“I’m excited to share the important work that cognitive psychologists are doing with the general public and the wider scientific community. There’s a lot of excellent research being published in Psychonomic journals and I’m eager to help it reach a broader audience.”
